Description

A collection of over 1,400 postcards primarily depicting Southern California, Baja California, and the American Southwest. Major themes include San Diego's areas of interest, the US-Mexico border region, Tijuana, Ensenada, Mexicali, Tecate, the California missions, and the US Navy. Popular tourist destinations such as the Hotel del Coronado, Balboa Park, and La Jolla Cove are particularly well-represented, as are postcards featuring the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition and the 1939 Golden Gate International Exposition in San Francisco.
