A Bay area professor, writer, and language poet, Gloria Frym's work includes interviews, prose poems, and many collected works and essays. These reformatted sound recordings from the Gloria Frym Papers focus heavily on the taped interviews that were used for Frym's book, Second Stories: Women Artists Whose Careers Began After Thirty-Five (1979). In these recordings, Frym interviews women artists, including Bobbie Louise Hawkins, Bella Feldman, and more. Any available interview transcripts from the collection are included. Other sound recordings include interviews with writers such as Andrei Codrescu, and recordings of Frym reading from titled works.
