This is a collection of Matlab based model code to calculate the isotopic fractionation during self-shielding using the Gaussian shaped photon beam of the advanced light source synchrotron (ALS, Berkeley). The data files to execute this program are also in this collection as described component-wise:
1. The Matlab code: CO_SS_92_97_Oct17.m
This file contained the full Matlab code used to perform the calculations presented in this manuscript. The code is self explanatory, as comments are inserted in every step. Matlab version R2017a was used in creation of this code.
2. Data files showing the cross-section values used in these computations and are compiled using the literature data cited in section 4.2 (Self-shielding model calculation). The rest of the data (13CO and 12C18O data) are mostly provided by Prof. Michele Eidelsberg through personal communication and not included here as per his request. The three data files are:
a. CS_C16O.txt
b. CS_C17O.txt
c. CS_C18O.txt
There are three columns in these three data files. Col (1)= wavelength in nm, Col(2)=wavenumber in cm-1, Col(3)= cross-section in cm2. - Creation Date
