- Description
-
This data includes key diagnostics calculated from output from a high resolution simulation of the ocean and sea-ice. These simulations were conducted with the Parallel Ocean Program (POP) coupled to the Community Sea-ice Model (CICE5) and forced with the Coordinated Ocean-ice Reference Experiments - Phase II Interannual Forcing (CORE-II IAF). The simulations were done for a global domain with a horizontal spacing of 8 km at the equator and 2-3 km at the poles. The data included here is a subset region in the Subpolar North Atlantic. The simulations were run from 1975-2009, depending on the experiment, but only metrics calculated based on the years 1992-1993 are included here. There are three experiments included in this data: a control run, surface melt forcing, and spread melt forcing.
