Description

Interviews of Holocaust survivors conducted in the 1970s by UCSD Distinguished Professor of Psychiatry Emeritus, Regent Edward A. Dickson Emeritus Professor Joel E. Dimsdale, M.D. Professor Dimsdale questioned subjects about coping behavior and stress during their time in Nazi Concentration Camps and Labor Camps during World War II. He asked questions about their health before and after their internment and what actions helped them to survive during a time of extreme stress. The collection also includes a 1971 lecture given by Viktor Frankl.
