Photographic negatives taken by Russian marine biologist Mikhail V. Propp, documenting a Soviet Antarctic expedition (1965-1966) at Mirny Observatory in Queen Mary Land, Antarctica, on the Antarctic coast of the Davis Sea. The images include scenes of oceanographic field work, scuba diving, and underwater flora and fauna. The collection was scanned in its entirety.
