- Description
-
This collection includes data used in the analysis reported in "Increasing STEM Undergraduate Participation in Innovative Activities: Field Experimental Evidence" (Graff Zivin & Lyons, 2019). The data summarizes an innovation contest in which some participants were induced to participate (induce=1) and some self-selected into participation (induce=0). Among all participants, an encouragement intervention was randomly assigned (the "encouragement" variable captures this treatment status). Data include self-reported participant characteristics, performance in the contest, and self-reported effort.
