Sound recordings of Susan Howe's radio poetry segment on WBAI New York, spanning from 1971-1980. Howe's program typically featured a 30-minute reading or interview, and she also produced special events and group discussions for the series. Over its course, the radio show was sponsored by both NEA Media and Literature, and the New York State Council on Arts (NYSCA). Howe organized and participated in announcements and interviews, while also editing and packaging the program into a broadcast-ready unit. Notable guests included John Ashbery, Anne Waldman, Ron Padgett, Alice Notley, Jerome Rothenberg, and many others. The collection also includes other WBAI poetry-related broadcast content, including a program on Jack Spicer.
